When people hear "Irish Dance" most immediately think of Riverdance, the rhythmic sensation that swept the nations. However, there is much more to this art form than Broadway and Michael Flatley. Irish dancing did not spring up over night and has a rich history going back to long before 400 AD, and a promising future as a form of entertainment, and a highly competitive sport.
